welcome and thank you for visiting my screenplays. Here you will find a variety of genres, some quite controversial yet compelling. Please browse them and contact me for additional questions or screenplay requests.  I look forward to hearing from you.

My Resume:

I have just finished a screenplay on the life of Joey Dee who had a #1 hit in 1962 named ‘THE PEPPERMINT TWIST’. Joey made The Peppermint Lounge the number one-night club in the world. We are starting the process to find a home for this gem.

I wrote and produced a 21-minute short, ‘THE CURE’.

I've was hired to write a screenplay about the life of country superstar GEORGE JONES. His widow, Nancy Jones, and producer Mark Koch, chose me after interviewing several Hollywood screenwriters. The film’s budget was fifteen million plus dollars. I was paid $25,000.00 to write it plus $172,500.00 upon the film being greenlit. I finished the screenplay just before Covid shut everything down. Just recently Nancy Jones was severely ill with Covid so the screenplays status is unknown.

My screenplay, DECEPTION, finished in the top 10 at the San Francisco Indie Film Festival.

I was hired by the producer of Lost in Space, Black Dog and others, to write a faith-based feature drama.

I am a co-writer of a TV series called 'The Last Supper. We have 8 completed episodes.  More information under The Last Supper tab.

I have written a novel based on 2 of my screenplays, Into the Mystic, and the sequel, Into the Mystic II, currently available on Amazon.  Over 2500 copies have been downloaded on Amazon.

PEPPERMINT TWIST CHRONICLES - Joey Dee is Rock & Roll history! He was there to see it firsthand, helping

launch the careers of Jimi Hendrix, The Young Rascals, The Ronettes and so many more.

This is a hard hitting, gritty tale that takes you through the rock 'n roll scene of the 1960's as never described before. The true, exciting, and endearing journey of a "Jersey Boy" scoring a #1 hit record that brought about life adventures he wasn't prepared for. This is so much more than a "rock bio". It's a sometimes dark and gritty tale of redemption.

LOGLINE: True story of how Joey Dee survives the Mob, early sixties racism, his own infidelity and how he made The Peppermint Lounge the most famous night club in the world.

THE GEORGE JONES STORY - (ON HOLD) I was hired by George's widow, Nancy Jones and No Show Productions,   to write a first draft, which is now completed. I was fortunate enough to have spent some time in Nashville with Nancy, her business partner and the producer, Mark Koch. George is one of the most beloved country stars ever, winning over 20 awards in his lifetime. But behind the scenes, George struggled with alcohol and cocaine and he fought a battle with them that would have killed most men. Nancy was married to him the last 30 years of his life and without her, it's unlikely George would have survived as long as he did. Hopefully, the movie will be released in 2021 but with this Covid curse no one is sure of anything. More to come as events unfold.

THE  CURE - A 20 minute short film that is an emotional, controversial film that takes you into the mind of a child molester. It will disturb many people and many others will cheer it because it addresses a subject that millions of persons been victims of.

See it on youtube here:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=peD3Zbi7lM4&t=6s             (film completed in MAY, 2019)

LOGLINE: A woman takes justice into her own hands when she confronts a child molester in his home with the intent to force a confession into a tape recorder before she kills him.

THE FARMGIRL

Genre: CRIME DRAMA  116 Pages

LOGLINE: A young farmgirl becomes a cold-blooded killer as she vows revenge on the men that killed her father in a

home robbery.

GINNY: I got a story to tell, one I find myself not quite believing but...you just have to know how to read it.

A gripping screenplay styled after the film noir classics of the 50's & 60's, it's filled with dark twists, conflicts, cynical

dialog, and an explosive ending. This story explores a 1960's woman trying to compete in a man's world of violence.

INTO THE MYSTIC - Now available as a novel.

I finally did it.  I took my two screenplays, Into the Mystic, Into the Mystic ll, and wrote a novel. It's a fun read, full of action and adventure.

Premise:  It's been planned for two years by four old high school buddies, now in their late thirties. A two-week trip on a 40 foot boat for relaxing, exploring,

fishing and general adventure. But when they enter a fog bank and one of them is washed overboard, their journey abruptly changes.

Come and join the guys as they as they deal with mermaids, sirens and the beauty of an exotic island that holds more surprises, twists and turns than even they ever imagined.       OVER 2500 DOWNLOADS

Available at Amazon at: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01NAV6UKD

or Smashwords at: https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/697794

There you have it Hollywood, a novel and movie.

DRAGON'S BREATH

Genre:  DRAMA/THRILLER

LOGLINE:  With the help of an obscure drug that eliminates a person's free will, a man goes on a journey of revenge against those who sent him to prison for a crime he did not commit.

After a man is released from 7 years of prison for a crime he did not commit, he seeks revenge on the mayor, DA and police captain who set him up.  He's introduced to a drug that force a person to do exactly what he says and also acts as a truth serum.

But when he uncovers a sex slave ring by this same group, including the murders and selling of women, he knows he must try to end those responsible.

A tale of revenge, murder, lust and trust with enough twists to leave even the most hardened reviewer satisfied.

ETERNITY

Genre:  FAITH BASED THRILLER / DRAMA   122 Pages

LOGLINE:  A man goes on a spiritual journey after his wife dies in an accident in which he is convicted of drunk driving and sent to prison.

I can't say too much about this one as it is one I was hired to write for producer Mark Koch. Partially based on a book by Mary Kaye Baxter, it is a spiritual self discovery by a man after he is sent to prison for his wife's death.

But things change when his daughter begins an out of control, downward spiral as her drug use increases. Once close to death, our Lord reaches out to her to

walk with him in hell. When she asks why her, our Lord tells her she is the messenger to spread his word.

A frightening but realistic look at the results of drug use, demons and a descent into hell.

From my Blue Cat screenplay entry reader analysis:

What did you like about this script?

Bobby is not a traditional leading man; he is a homeless Vietnam vet who gets sucked into a plot to rob some powerful gangsters. He has a heart of gold, but there is an underlying darkness to him. He is capable of horrible acts without batting an eye. We see this dichotomy throughout the script. It begins when he agrees to help Alex’s “family” because he is led to believe they are in trouble, but once they double cross him he shows no mercy. He’s a great character that

you want to like, but would be terrified if he was not on your side. The opening scene captures his characterization perfectly. He is in the midst of a suicide

attempt, and after it fails, he knows he has more work to do in life.

This scene is a great character establishing moment, and it really sets the tone for the rest of the script.

Dialogue stands out. Each character has a unique voice. Bobby talks like a homeless man who has lost his family and life. The gangsters talk like mobsters.

Joplin talks like a punk rocker girl. You have done great work with matching each character’s dialogue to their characterization. Another great aspect of your dialogue is that it enhances the story instead of focusing on needless exposition.

The pace of the script moves quickly. There is never a dull moment, and the action really keeps the audience engaged. Nice work on pushing the gas pedal

down and never letting up. The tension also builds to the climax well. It feels like Bobby and his accomplices are in danger at every turn.

With the attention you have paid to tension and pace, you have crafted a wonderful crime drama. (font change mine)

INT. PARIS RESTAURANT TABLE - NIGHT

BOBBY FREEMAN sits at a table next to a window in a very high end restaurant, dressed in an expensive suit. He's around 50, 6 feet tall, slicked back hair.

He's very handsome, in fact one could easily mistake him for royalty. An attractive WOMAN walks by, glances and smiles at Bobby. He grins, stares out the window.

The restaurant is full, light CHATTER fills the air. Waiters buzz about delivering drinks and food. A tuxedoed WAITER stops at his table.

WAITER

More champagne sir?

BOBBY

Yes...please.

The waiter grabs the champagne from an ice bucket stand next to the table. As he pours it...

WAITER

Will a guest still be joining you?

BOBBY

Yes, she should be here anytime.

WAITER

Very good sir.

Bobby sips his champagne as he watches people amble by outside the window. He glances at his watch,  continues to gaze outside.

He's lost in thought, seems oblivious to his surroundings. A voice shatters his concentration.

WOMAN

Bobby...Bobby!

He glances up, smiles, stands. He grabs the woman's hand, kisses it.

BOBBY

Welcome to Paris.

SUPER    30 DAYS EARLIER

EXT.  ALLEY WALL  DAY

Bobby Freeman holds a small, shiny, chrome barreled, white handled pistol in his mouth, both trembling hands gripped around it, thumb on the trigger.

He stands by a garbage dumpster, leans against a brick wall. His eyes dart back and forth, perhaps hoping someone will intervene.

He’s dressed in an oversized, gray, stained trench coat. He wears dirty, spotted, khaki pants with frayed bottoms and worn holes, what used to be white tennis

shoes and a dirty, spotted wrinkled shirt with a fashion logo.

His hair is matted, tangled  and shoulder length. His bushy, thick, six inch beard looks like something may be living in it.

His jungle, wild man like appearance cannot hide the fact that he’s devilishly handsome underneath.

BOBBY'S POV

He glances to the end of the alley as people scurry by, oblivious to his plight. Slow, he pulls his pistol out and watches, kicks the dumpster as light tears trickle

down his cheeks.

BOBBY

Fuck all of you out there! You hear me? Fuck you and your perfect lives!

(whispers)

Fuck you man.

BACK TO SCENE

Angry, hurt, shaking, scared, he slides the gun back into his mouth. His eyes squint and again dart about, his brows furrow, he summons the courage to pull the trigger as sweat beads run down his soiled cheeks.

He gazes up at the sky, slow, closes his eyes, pauses, squeezes the trigger. The gun CLICKS. His eyes bulge open, he has a look of ‘shit’ on his face but

breathes a sigh of relief as he slides the gun out.

He stares at it for a moment, clicks out the magazine and ejects the bullet from the chamber into his shaking hand.

INSERT shell end of bullet. The bullet has a mark where the firing pin hit it.

He stares at the bullet in disbelief. As he stares he’s overcome with emotion, his eyes well, tears fall. He glances from the bullet up to the sky.

His fatigued face grunts as he drops the bullet in his shirt pocket, slams the magazine back into the pistol, shoves it in his pocket, trudges away.

INTO the MYSTIC

GENRE: Fantasy/Adventure

LOGLINE: After four friends discover a lost island, Mermaids agree to help free one of them captured by neighboring Sirens if they will fight long dead

pirate spirits hell-bent on taking the island back from the mermaids, but must kill a human to do so.

What if there were a story that had the magic of E.T., the action of ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’, the tension of ‘JAWS’, the humor of ‘The Hangover’ plus romance,

twists, a man coming of age and a jolting end?

When’s the last time a great mermaid movie played on the screen? A four quad fantasy so real it will leave you asking yourself if mermaids really do exist.

Do mermaids exist? It's a question that will keep an audience coming to the movies.

A few historical quotes from real life people:

In the Fifth Century AD, Physiologus described the mermaid as "a beast of the sea, wonderfully shapen as a maid, the upper body of a woman and the lower

body of a fish, split at the naval".

In 1608 Discoverer Henry Hudson’s crew spotted a mermaid alongside their ship. He wrote "she was looking earnestly on the men, she was spreckled like a

macrell with long black hair, white skin and a woman’s breasts".

So get on board as our guys battle sharks, pirates and sirens, discover pirate booty, swim with the dolphins, pursue romance and question

whether they want to return to a civilized world.

RANDOM DIALOG:    (not formatted)

It start out the size of a pebble, then it become the size of a boulder until you no longer able to carry it around. Then, when you think you got a chance,
